Remnant

I don't know what it was about this view that struck a chord with me, perhaps it was the desolate look to it. The photo was taken above the Drumochter Pass in Scotland and the land really has got a forsaken sort feel about it. Barren wastes and bog give way to forlorn looking slopes of heather and grass. Bulldozed roads wind up through the valleys that seem to serve no purpose anymore and are littered with abandoned bits of machinery and drainage pipes.
